Well I was ready to come out swinging but not enough wind. We did one race down to the last mark when they abandanded the race but other than that it was a long day.. You might say.. oh how could it be a long day hanging out on the beach?? Well, We were on 15 minute announcements waiting for wind. The wind was up, the wind was down. We went out for a race, we came back in. You have to be up on your game all day long. When we finally did a race it was 6:45 in the evening. To be in tip top shape at a professional level ready to go for 8 hours.. maybe.. isnt all that easy.. but that is windsurfing.. waiting and being ready to blow. We will see what tomorrow brings. I need some wind!

No, I never did like siting or laying on the beach all day. Futhermore, I have a subtle disdain of people that do. Nevertheless, you lead a pretty exciting life and will look back on these days with nostalgia. It must have been great breaking your mast in waves and then having a day to meditate on it.

A number of years ago I went to a PWA event/ demo or something like that. There wasn't any wind, and we all wound up sitting around chewing the fat. One of the pro's lost his temper and was yelling at us as a group to get up off our tails and into the water. He didn't achieve his objective, but the organizers didn't have him carted away to the nearby asylum, either. They don't hold any more PWA events on Cape Cod anymore.
