Whoo.... well that was a pretty good day for me. I managed to make up from 26th place to 6th place along with winning a round. I was pretty stoked to come back after a terrible start to go ahead and win a round. It was super hard conditions. Gusty shifty winds, making it hard to pick the right sail. In the end I was on my 7.6 Tr 3 with my Starboard 101 with Deb SL 2 38cm fin. I think that I could have switched down a size in the fins but in the heat of the battle I thought that the 38 with the 7.6 was the best call. I am stoked to make a strong comeback. I hope to continue on it for the next race in Lazarote on the 29th. We are off to Barcelona to try and take some photos of Barcelona so it will be interesting to see what we can come up with. Then off to Gran Canaria for a week of training and then to Lanzarote.

Nice Going. I imagine growing up in Cali prepared you for the Spanish. I can't take more than three days in a Spanish language country and that includes New York. I'm looking forward to the Barcelona pics.

Well then, Bruce, perhaps you'd like Barcelona because Spanish is not the language that they speak there. It's Catalunyan.

My typo...the language is spelled Catalan. Not even close to Spanish, though.

Isn't it a form of Spanish, like Mandarin and Cantonese are forms of Chinese? It isn't like Basque which is a completely separate language from any other European one. Whatever, I spent three days in Barcelona and a few magic Spanish words helped me get by. It's like English in many countries, it can open enough doors to allow travel.
