Story of my trip E-mail

Well yesterday I had it all together, the board, the sail, the wetsuit, harness, everything and the swell was pumping.. I was in the right spot, just the wrong time.. not enough wind today. Went to the spot and there wasnt enough wind.. just as I pull up I see a guy that I met a couple years back and he told me how great it was... YESTERDAY... Should have been there yesterday.. oh well. To make things a bit worse, I kept getting calls from all my buddies on Maui... "Lets GO!!! It's firing!! or the last message I got was "Where were you out there today... it was SICK!"

Well all I got to do is hope that there will be more wind and waves coming this winter. I guess this just builds up the hunger to get home and get on the water. It is probably good for me to have a break from windsurfing after a year of it on the road focusing, training, testing, and traveling... but man it is hard to be off the water for so long.. like a caged animal or something.... Cant wait to hit that lip at Hookipa..

Anyhow, here are some more photos.. the only thing that has been keeping me sane with all this non windsurfing.... Getting any better?? Check out the series here Just to let you know I dont think the comments on the web gallery work so dont write anything in there.. or at least I dont know how to make them work.. Sorry the shots are so small. All a learning expirience...

I know it has nothing to do with this trip... but how much $$ is ususally a flight from Maui to Germany and back? Although it's the other way round for me cause I'm from Germany :-(

Thanks a lot...

The feature photo, crashing surf on rock, was very striking.

Hi Kevin!
Not sure if you will enjoy sailing at Hookipa once you return.
Did you notice WTF is going on these days?
Check this:

Enjoy your trip and the remoteness alongside the CA coast !
Cheers,

Can you fill us in on how you travel with your windsurfing gear. What kind of bags are you using, what gear are you traveling with, how do you get around the airports etc. I'm taking this year to travel to exotic windsurfing destinations and need some help from a pro.
