Had a long day today with a good hour ride in the morning.... it was funny cause I was riding all by myself and was thinking about this blog.. I was going to write down my Makawao Loop time in a book so I can remember how log it took me and see if I can improve on the time.. then I was like I should just write it on my blog and then that will be there for me to look back on.. The Makawao loop is from my house down past Hookipa to Paia then up Baldwin ave to Makawao then over Kapakalua and back down West Kuiaha. An ok ride, little busy on the traffic and i did it a bit too late so was a little hot.. so my time was 1:24 with a average heart rate of 125 and a max heart rate of 163. Was only 19 miles with an average speed of 13 mph... Not that you guys really care but this is the one place that I can find that I can go back and look at.. Went sailing for a couple hours with the North boys down at Camp One. We put out the bouys and Jimmy, and Matt Perch were out and that was a good laugh.. We were gybing around cutting corners, well I was the one almost taking everyone out at the marks.. but was fun to get out there and get the heart rate up and running. I was talking with Jimmy and I was like man, I have been riding the bike and I think I need to change my workout, because I am burning out there going around those marks.. lucky for me he was too but it was fun none the less.. It was pretty windy out there, i was on 6.0 with the 87 Isonic and 34 Sl 4.. Need to get out there more and keep on pushing..

holy cow! After a loop like that I would be done for a couple of days... Hey, Hookipa was small (still shoulder high at times) but without all the pros shooting somewhere else (10 guys out on average) it was a lot of fun... Didn't miss ya! ;-)

Hi Kevin & blog readers ! I'm a frequent reader of Kevin's blog and I really like the new joined website.BUT you've chosen a white font on dark background again which makes reading very difficult. We've had this issue already back on the old page a while ago. Question to all readers out there: Do you feel comfortable reading white on black ???? I don't :( Thanks, Frank

Mark, The new vapors are really working well. When we were standing on the beach Micah was there and asked to take my rig out, he thought it felt the nicest my gear has ever felt of mine, we have always switched gear over the last few years and he has always not liked my set up too much. Jimmy also took my gear for a run said that he liked it too. I took out the North Warp and boy those sails are very easy to sail on a reach. I was on 6.0 Vapor and Jimmy's North was a 6.3

Hi Kevin! I would love to see a reversed version , white fonts on black background. Like you had before. What do you think? Should be easy to tweak in Joomla. Best regards, Frank

Kevin, I like the your new site. What are you riding for a bike ?? I am sure you are traveling in the summer but if your interested in a really cool century check out the crater lake century in Or aug 16th this year. It's an awesome ride and you get around 7K of climbing... Sure would be fun to see some of the Hawia pro's in the gorge in the summer. Have fun . Tom

Kevin, why don't you install a theme switcher "module" , so that people can decide what color settings the want to use. Should be easy in Joomla. So you would fully satisfy everybody ! Just an idea... Frank
13"Heart & Soul" at Saturday, 29 March 2008 23:53
Hey Kev, Was digging in some old stuff on the attic and found an old overtaped videotape of Robert Masters 'Heart & Soul' (Gaastra team video). I got it from a local windsurfshop owner(actually from Sneek, the netherlands where Gaastra originated(hence the logo), and he said: 'here, you better watch this. Will get you up to speed with what windsurfing is all about!'. So i watched it and watched it. Probably hundreds of times... Man you were like a teenager there? But that video got me into the real windsurfing! I still love that video! By the way all Robert Master video's are worth watching but this specific one has such a cool atmosphere and vibe... I so look up to that... still!! Do you remember a lot of those days? What's the main difference with windsurfing and your life today? Greetings from holland...
