Well I have been working hard on the videos lately and just finished a rigging guide one for the no cam sails. I know it is really boring to me and to some but to some it is really helpful! Check it out, and I will try and make the next one a bit more exciting!!
It is the rigging of a 2009 Gaastra Manic. If you would like to buy one click here!!

Thanks for providing a Gaastra rigging guide! Over time I have learnt how to trim my Gaastra sails but I must say I\\\'m very surprised that Gaastra do not have any state of the art rigging guides on their web page. Why?? This would be of great assistance to not the least less experienced sailors. In addition it would be nice to see that the people behind the brand are committed and care for spending some time and effort on suppórt issues. Just look at all the other brands, they all have detailed video rigging guides, forums, etc etc on their web pages. Being a premium sail brand offering high performance sails it\\\'s really a shame that Gaastra chooses such a low level of support. I think the worldwide windsurfing community would be grateful if you, Kevin and Matt, could work something out with the Gaastra Management and shape their web services up. For the benefit of all parti

Kevin,
what is the added value of that video? I mean, you didn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t real say anything that we don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t already know. I was expecting to hear some real tips from you since you one of the few guys out there with unique style and long wave history.
Cheers, Pavlos

I´m also very disappointed about Gaastra/Tabou´s customer support. No more forums, no answers to emails, nothing! They offer great products but also other companies do and those companies give you much better support. Tabou/Gaastra will loose a lot of customers if they will not change customer policy soon... Nevertheless, thank you Kevin and Matt for the good work!

Great video but what are we looking for with regards to the leech? What is too much downhaul hence floppy leech and too little dowhaul hence tight leech.

Glad you guys liked the video! For me it is pretty difficult to make these videos but you would be suprised at how many requests we get and how many rigging question emails we get. Sorry Pavlos that it wasnt more in depth. All the feedback is taken in and it is a learning expirience for me.
Koop, as for the downhaul, I have been running mine exactly to spec on the new Manics. With the streamline they are set up perfectly.

Thanks for the video Kevin. I'm a bit confused though. You rigged up the sail according to the specs on the sail for the downhaul and outhaul, but then you say that the sail does not have enough downhaul. So how can the downhaul measurement on the sail be correct?

andrew.. hmm.. well i what I was trying to get across was that in general the most common thing was not enough downhaul and too much outhaul. Sorry If i wasn't clear enough on it.

We appreciate your vids, thanks. Would be great if you and your fellow Gaastra team sailors would coordinate with Gaastra Management and get a couple of good rigg / tuning vids up on the Gaastra web page soon. Unfortunately Gaastra is way behind its competitors when it comes to support and manuals. And its a shame if the company starts loosing market shares because of this cause there's nothing to fault when it come to the procucts. Look at Mauisails for instance, excellet after market services, rigging guides etc.

Andy, glad you like the video. Gaastra is working on it. This is good feedback as I am trying to get them to hire me to make the videos for them. It is not the most favorite past time of mine to make them but I think people like them and hopefully people realize the time it takes to do it and appreciate it. Maybe people will learn from it and it will make there windsurfing better and to me that is thanks enough. Maybe people will start buying things from Pritchard Windsurfing as a sign of appreciation and that helps me finance new things like new sound and video eq that I keep buying to make the videos sound so good.

Hi Kevin,
I really appreciate your videos and all the work you put into this website. Keep up the great work. I do hope more people buy their gear from you guys. I'll continue to do so. As for the rigging videos, it would be great if Gaastra hires you to do their videos. For their website, you can make the videos more formal. but for this site, I'd love to see more of your personal touch and your tips. Anyone can make a generic rigging video, but you guys are world champs(!), so we'd love the tips that only a pro such as you can provide. thanks again, Ben
