Well sometimes it doesnt all go as planned. On a recent fun trip ended up going very bad. Matt and I were in California doing some dirtbiking and Matt ened up casing a double jump and came out with two broken legs. As Matt usually likes to do things right, he definately did it right here with two compound fractures and is out for a couple of months. Not fun at all. So if you start getting newsletters and emails from Matt pushing his Gaastra/Tabou business you will know why. He has the time now to buckle down and focus on the business instead of heading down to Hookipa when the right swell comes. Anyhow, I send him a speedy recovery!!

Jeeeez dude, gnarly x-rays!! Bones always heal up stronger than they were to begin with, so you're gonna be like iron man when you get back. We'll see you in the water in no time!! (Stand up paddling is killer rehab for those ankles... so ask for waterproof casts, haha)

Matt-
You'll recover quick and well. It isn't the first time you've broke some bones!

You seriously got to give me a call when you are in SoCal.

Matt Matt Matt - bad luck buddy - hope that you could not see it coming!! I am also glad to hear you were with someone to assist you immediately. Now send me an email regarding excellent rental rates for my two buddies Russ and Andrew coming out to Maui 3 weeks in April... and please make it to the beach regardless - it is mo'betta when you show up!!

AWWW! Looks like Erin's got double duty. Sorry man, at least they are long bone fractures and not those tarsals. Remember it takes ultra violet light to get vitamin D to convert and help you heal - so you gotta go to the beach - Dr.'s orders!

Hey Guys- thanks for all the great comments. I have been down and out before and injury always brings something good to me! My last surgery brought me my wife......So I'm embracing the pain and moving forward day by day. I heard a good one on TV last night- "you can risk it or sit on your biscuit".... I have always lived on the edge and taken the risks. Mama always said if you not falling off, your not trying hard enough! I will be back stronger, relaxed and ready to rumble! Keep watching- will keep updates going on the site!

I´m 38, so I asked myself if I must continuous triying it or I should stop with this manouver. Last year I broke my nose!! In any case, good luck for our recovery, ok?
