Well today was the first day of the event and we got started with the Waves! It was actually really great conditions for a while for Pozo. But after registration, putting on all the stickers, taking the group photo (wihch is one of my favorite times, imagine getting all the competitors in one shot organized) the waves only lasted for two more hours. Here at Pozo, the waves are only good at certain Tides. When it is low tide coming up to high tide this is the best. I would say mid tide is the best, and today was one of the better days. The person who I saw ripped the hardest was Alex Mussolini who apsolutely ripped his heat apart making two taka's, sick jumps and just ripped the waves apart. It was fun to watch. My heat is tomorrow so wish me luck!!
