Well again this is not the way you want to start off your competition. I did the best I could do but I just wasn't fast enough coming in. I would go fast on the way out and then slow on the way in and then good in the gibes but just didn't have the speed today. I was with my 7.6 and 111 with the 38 SL 4. Then i went to my 6.7 and was back on speed. The water is so flat here that you can hold a really big sail. I think that might have been my problem. It wasn't that I couldn't hold the sail, it was just that it was going slow and I could go much faster with the smaller sail. I guess lesson learned for tomorrow. I did the best I could do it just wasn't good enough. I will try again tomorrow.

Keep your head up KP that's the spirit !
There's a lot of racing to do and so what you may have just used a throw out. George Szabp from San Diego just won the Star worlds after starting the series with a 54th. They knuckled down and GOT HER DONE !
Good Luck we are with you all the way !

Hey Kevin, good speed in one direction and bad in other sounds like a to small fin to me! sl4 38 sounds really small for 7.6 and 111. Why dont you try 40 or even 42? Cheers!

You're the pro, but I agree with CS. I can't see how you can go slower with the 7.6 except that the fin was too small.
